About the role

The head coach oversees all on-field activities for the Women's Club Soccer team, including facilitating practice plans and teaching strategy. They are responsible for managing team dynamics and collaborating with the club's executive board and Campus Recreation staff.

General Summary of Position

The head coach oversee all on field of the Women’s Club Soccer team. The coaches will work with team captains to facilitate practice plans and teach drills. They will teach strategy, attend every practice or competition, and the coach will help manage team dynamics. The coach will also work with the club’s executive board, who oversee all scheduling and fundraising efforts. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Club Sports and indirectly to all Campus Recreation professional staff members and sport club officers. The Women’s Club Soccer program falls under Campus Recreation and is not associated with Athletics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide skill development for college students and cater to a variety of skill levels
  • To organize safe and appropriate sport sessions
  • To supervise/mentor/guide the participating members of each club
  • Attend all team practices and games
  • Duty to act in an emergency by performing emergency evacuations; provide First-Aid, CPR, AED based on current certification
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in coaching or participating in specific sport
  • Flexible, availability and high level of responsibility
  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent
  • First-Aid, CPR, AED, & Blood Borne Pathogen certifications- must receive within 90 days of starting.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-unit, non-benefited position. Anticipate 4-8 hours/week

Requirements

Applicants must have previous experience coaching or participating in soccer and hold a high school diploma or GED. Certification in First-Aid, CPR, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogens is required within 90 days of hire.
