About the role

This role involves supervising and providing direct services, with a primary focus on vocational and educational services for participants in the Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment Program.

RiseWell Community Services is looking for a full-time Vocational Specialist to join our Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT) Team in West Babylon, New York. You'll be utilizing your own professional experience to provide tailored care and guidance to participants and families. The world does not run out of people to help…and we need people like YOU to help us make a positive change in the community!

This individual will supervise and provide direct services, with a focus on vocational and educational services. The Master Level Counselor will serve as a member of a mobile, community-based, multidisciplinary team for persons with severe and persistent mental illness, delivering individualized care to those in need. Our Young Adult ACT team serves individuals ages 18-25.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or rehabilitation counseling (if a rehabilitation counselor, C.R.C. preferred). A valid and clean New York State driver's license. Minimum 1 year of experience in a treatment or rehabilitation setting. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, and approval from the NYS Office of Mental Health.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or rehabilitation counseling, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a treatment or rehabilitation setting. A valid New York State driver's license and successful completion of background checks are also mandatory.
