Preschool Special Education Teacher | Federal Way, WA | 2026–2027 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring Preschool Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in Federal Way, Washington. Job Highlights: Location: Federal Way, WA Position: Preschool Special Education Teacher (In-person) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday School Year: 2026–2027 Setting: Preschool Special Education Program serving early learners ages 3–5

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide developmentally appropriate instruction that supports early learning, communication, social-emotional growth, and school readiness Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary team members Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and appropriate assistive technology when needed Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and family conferences

Qualifications

  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate Special Education endorsement required Experience working with preschool-aged children or early childhood special education preferred Must have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to complete them Must provide at least two supervisory references Benefits & Perks: Paid Sick Leave Healthcare Benefits
