Provide instructional assistance to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. Work with small groups of students in an instructional capacity. Assist and provide support for students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts. Assist in maintaining appropriate classroom environment to ensure a safe and positive learning experience. Monitor individual students in the classroom, library, or during playground activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment Monitor and assists students during various classroom activities (examples; art, literacy, bath rooming, fine motor skills) Maintain confidentiality in all correspondence and communications Support special needs learners and modifies instruction as directed Assist in maintaining appropriate student conduct Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher Perform other related duties as assigned/required by teacher(s), site, or district administrator(s).
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Paraprofessional license or ParaPathways assessment/60 college credits. Must be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
