About the Role

Provide specialized Resource Specialist Program (RSP) instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within local school districts throughout the Greater Sacramento region. In this role, you’ll work closely with district teams, general education teachers, and related service providers to deliver targeted academic support, implement IEP goals, and help students achieve meaningful educational outcomes. As an RSP Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized and small-group instruction designed to support students in accessing the general education curriculum while addressing their unique learning needs. Why Join Us: · Competitive salaried position ranging from $60,000-$88,000 annually · Potential placement bonus up to $10,000 · CEU/license reimbursement and tuition assistance · Full benefits for full-time employees: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) · Paid sick leave, holidays, and vacation · School-based schedule aligned with the academic calendar · Ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities · Opportunities for career growth within a leading special education organization What You'll Do: · Provide Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services through small-group and individualized instruction · Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications to support student success · Collaborate with general education teachers to support access to grade-level curriculum · Develop and deliver targeted academic interventions based on student needs · Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals · Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams · Support students with learning disabilities, executive functioning needs, and other educational challenges · Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state special education requirements · Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and school staff Must Have: · Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs preferred) or eligibility · Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field · DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance and TB clearance, as required by the state · Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs Preferred: · Experience providing RSP services in a school-based setting · Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements · Familiarity with special education documentation systems (e.g., IEPpro) · Experience supporting students with learning disabilities and academic intervention needs · Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills About Point Quest Group: Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
