Provide spiritual, emotional, and religious support to patients, families, and staff within a healthcare setting. Participate in supervised educational activities and departmental operations in accordance with ACPE standards.

Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field. Master’s Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or Divinity preferred. Minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
Typically requires 1 year of experience in professional caregiving or in providing caregiving within a similar capacity.
Strong spiritual care background with a basic working knowledge of theology, spirituality, interpretation of sacred writings, human behavior and spiritual care skills. Faith group standing as appropriate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar products. Ability to adapt to change, work with diverse personalities, cultures and faith traditions. Strong communication (oral and written) and human relation skills. Must be able to participate in overnight and weekend on-call rotation per the department schedule, including moving between sites of care as needed.
