Department: Athletics
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) seeks a Women’s Swimming & Diving Graduate Assistant who will serve under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will assist in a number of capacities including practice planning and execution, coordinating operations and travel for the program, recruiting, community service opportunities, and other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education; Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students; Ability to work required hours (FT – 50% - 20 hours per week) with regular attendance; Must have a valid driver's license.
Assist the head coach with planning and implementation of daily practices; Coordination of operations, planning travel, per diem, meals and itineraries; Contribute to weekly staff meetings; Recruiting - In collaboration with the head coach; Coaching - In collaboration with the head coach; Coordinating community service opportunities; Assist with the management of equipment and travel; Assist with NCAA compliance reporting and academic monitoring; Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work effectively with student-athletes; Previous swimming experience; Effective communication skills; Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
