Core Responsibilities: Teaching includes, but is not limited to, the following. Teaching assignments will be English Composition, ENG 100, 101, 102, or Technical Writing, ENG 107. Duties may include, but not be limited to, any of the following. Meeting and assisting students outside of class time. Keep up with mandatory trainings and professional development Collaborate with other faculty in developing courses and selecting textbooks. Membership in department and college-wide committees. Participating in special projects such as Summer Bridge Programs Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in English or: Linguistics, Creative Writing, Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, Technical Writing OR master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field: Linguistics, Creative Writing, Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, and Technical Writing Experience teaching English at the secondary or post-secondary level. Experience working with a diverse community. Excellent communication skills.
Experience using an online Learning Management System Two years full time teaching experience at a community college or university. Experience working with multi-lingual students. Experience working with at-risk students Salary Information $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
