Bright Imaginations is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Aftercare Teacher to join our team! Our aftercare program serves elementary-aged students in a safe, engaging, and structured environment after the school day ends.

Supervise and ensure the safety of elementary-aged students during aftercare. Provide a warm, positive, and engaging environment. Lead age-appropriate games, crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, homework assistance, and enrichment activities. Serve an afternoon snack while following food safety procedures. Maintain accurate attendance and dismissal records. Communicate professionally with families during student pick-up. Support positive behavior using respectful classroom management strategies. Keep classrooms, activity areas, and materials clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the program. Work collaboratively with school administration and fellow educators. Follow all Bright Imaginations policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
Previous experience working in an elementary aftercare, before/after-school program, summer camp, childcare center, or similar school-age program is strongly preferred. Experience supervising groups of elementary-aged children (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must be able to successfully pass a Level II Background Screening and meet all state licensing requirements. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment. Ability to build positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate boundaries and professionalism. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers. Dependable, punctual, and able to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in a fast-paced environment. Must be physically able to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, and participating in recreational activities. Basic computer and tablet skills for attendance, communication, and program documentation preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required. We're Looking For Someone Who Is...
