About the role

Teach Hebrew language classes to Middle and Upper School students focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Collaborate with other departments to integrate Hebrew and Israeli culture into the school's broader curriculum.

We want you to be part of our team! Maimonides School, a K-12 Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Brookline, MA, is seeking experienced candidates for full-time and part-time teaching positions for Hebrew language for the 2026-27 school year.

Flexible schedules and teaching opportunities are available.

Responsibilties Teach a combination of classes in Middle and Upper School grades.

Classes will focus on critical skills related to the four strands of language acquisition: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Provide an environment that encourages participation and recognizes the needs of individual students and the entire group and offer support and flexibility as needed Integrate Hebrew and Israel into other areas of the School through interdepartmental collaboration.

Works as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the mission of Maimonides Cultivate positive relationships with current and prospective students and parents.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree 2-4 years experience teaching, preferably in the Middle or Upper School Experience teaching Hebrew as a second language Native Hebrew speaker a plus Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning Salary & Benefits Competitive annual salary commensurate with experience Employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Vacation, sick, and personal time, including time off for national and Jewish holidays; early release Fridays 403b plan with employer match Life and Disability Insurance

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree and have 2-4 years of teaching experience, preferably in Middle or Upper School. Experience teaching Hebrew as a second language is required, and being a native speaker is a plus.
