About the role

The coach will teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques, including grappling and submissions, while helping students improve their strength and flexibility. They are responsible for preparing students for competition and maintaining a safe, inclusive training environment.

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The BJJ Club Coach will teach students self-defense techniques in the Jiu-Jitsu style of martial arts including showing students how to correctly perform physical moves and helping them develop stamina, strength, and flexibility.

They create a positive learning environment for the students and support them in developing confidence and achieving their fitness goals.

The coach will emphasize safety while leading fun, challenging workouts and practice sessions that motivate the students to keep improving their skills.

Duties/Responsibilities Teaching and demonstrating BJJ techniques (45%) Instruct students on a range of BJJ techniques, including grappling, submissions, and positional control.

Preparing students for competition (30%) Assist students in developing the skills and mindset necessary for competitive grappling, including tournament strategies and conditioning.

Ensuring a safe training environment (25%) Maintain a safe and inclusive training environment, emphasizing safety and proper technique.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Black Belt Certification: Hold a black belt rank in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
