About the role

The Assistant Swim Coach supports the Head Coach in managing the men's and women's intercollegiate swimming program, including planning practices and meets. Responsibilities include recruiting student-athletes and fostering a positive team culture aligned with academic and athletic values.

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The Assistant Swim Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the men’s and women’s intercollegiate swimming program at the NCAA Division III level. This includes recruitment, coaching, administrative duties, and fostering a positive team culture that aligns with the academic and athletic values of Plymouth State University. Duties/Responsibilities Assist in planning and running practices and swim meets Provide individualized and group coaching to enhance athlete development and performance Help with recruitment of prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, LEC conference, and PSU rules Encourage and promote academic success Maintain equipment and assist with pool operations as needed Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful team environment Represent the team and institution at athletic, alumni, and fundraising events

Requirements

Bachelor's degree Prior competitive swimming or coaching experience at the collegiate, club,or high school level Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Computer experience, knowledge of the Team Manager Program Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications
