  • Description: A faithful Preschool Substitute Aide is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher or Extended Care Teacher in the implementation of an appropriate education program, which shall follow the Christian philosophy of Rancho Christian Preschool and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures in a safe and developmentally appropriate environment.

  • Proficiency: Assist teacher in supervising and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the policies and Christian philosophy of Rancho Christian Preschool Assist teacher in implementing and supervising a daily preschool classroom program that will address the spiritual, physical, emotional, social and mental needs of the individual child in a group environment Help to maintain a classroom environment that is controlled and safe, allowing the children the freedom of choice and exploration with clearly defined structure Must be able to effectively follow instructions of teacher and fulfill duties and tasks assigned by teacher Must be able to quickly respond and summon for help in an emergency

  • Expectations: Abide by a code of confidentiality in all matters involving the children and families enrolled in the schools Assist teacher in maintaining an ordered arrangement, appearance, décor and learning environment of the classroom Attend all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions, including completing 12 hours of professional growth a year Assist and participate in special events such as Back-to-School Night, Open House, etc. Assist and participate in designated public relations, school fundraisers and community events sponsored by the school Assist teacher in preparing daily snacks for students in class per Title 22 regulations Assist teacher in conducting weekly chapels as assigned Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

  • Qualifications: Must have 12 ECE units (courses approved by Title 22 regulations) Show evidence of Christian maturity and a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education in the preschool environment Be in compliance with the State of California requirements and qualifications as defined by Title 22 for a preschool teacher, including obtaining a signed form by your physician prior to employment Be in compliance with the standards of our accreditation agency Have a minimum of one year experience working with preschool aged children Possess the ability to interact effectively and maintain a good rapport with parents, peers and administrative staff Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid certification Pass a TB test every 4 years Proof of immunizations for DTaP, MMR, Influenza Submit to fingerprinting and receive criminal clearance from the
