Provide individual and group tutoring and mentoring to STEM students to improve academic performance and foster a sense of belonging. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, conducting check-in meetings, and referring students to campus resources.
Student Support Services (SSS) - STEM Program is looking for Peer Tutor/Mentors to serve as role models in supporting students toward their success. Tutor/mentors guide students in ensuring they feel a sense of belonging to the program and college and help facilitate a welcoming environment for personal growth and success.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position begins at $16.
Candidates must be current college students with a minimum 3.25 GPA or an A/B+ in relevant subjects. A commitment to supporting first-generation, under-resourced students and the ability to build rapport with diverse backgrounds are required.
