The Lead Teacher plans and facilitates project-based learning activities, clubs, and STEM-focused lessons for students in PreK-8th grade. They are also responsible for student supervision, maintaining safe environments, and building relationships with families and community organizations.

Education and Experience: Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6:00PM High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (or collegiate degree) Certification or degree in early childhood education is a plus Special enrichment certifications (teaching artist, educational, or vocational) is a plus Minimum of 3 years of child care experience within a child care facility or school-based program Two letters of recommendation Current CPR certification is preferred Mandated Reporter Certification is a plus All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus Skills and Abilities: Basic computer, Internet, and social media skills Exceptional written communication and lesson planning skills Excellent communications skills, particularly with young children Creative, energetic, and passionate about after-school enrichment Must present strong leadership skills with great follow-through Thank you for taking the time to apply to Belmont Charter Network.
