At minimum, Associate degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 overall. Bachelor’s degree preferred. NYS Teaching Assistant certification within 3 months of employment Experience working with school-aged children in an academic or youth development setting Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Teacher Assistant Performance Outcomes Teacher Assistant will ensure that assigned small/ at-risk groups show growth in mathematics and literacy as measured by internal assessments. Teacher Assistant will score proficient in classroom management and youth development as measured by student referral numbers, suspensions, and internal measurement tools. Full-Time Teacher Pay Range $50,000—$55,000 USD
Candidates must hold at least an associate degree in early childhood education or a related field and obtain NYS Teaching Assistant certification within three months. Experience working with school-aged children in an academic or youth development setting is required.
