The Learning Experience of Astoria is searching for a passionate, dependable, and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our preschool classroom of children ages 2 years and older. We're looking for someone who can create a classroom where children feel excited to learn, encouraged to explore, and supported every step of the way.

As our Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that prepare children for future academic success while nurturing their social, emotional, and creative growth.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that make learning exciting.
Foster children's language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development.
Create a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.
Lead and mentor your Assistant Teacher while working collaboratively as a team.
Celebrate every milestone and encourage each child to reach their full potential.
Is reliable, dependable, and takes pride in their work.
Has a genuine passion for early childhood education.

✅ Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program (REQUIRED).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare center (REQUIRED).
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to pass all required background checks and state compliance requirements.
