How you'll contribute

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures and standards. Communicate with physicians and team members about patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Obtains patient history, reason for visit, vital signs, height, weight, smoking status, allergies and current medication on all patient visits

Performs EKG’s, ear irrigations, draws injections accurately and administer correctly, administer medications (topical, oral or injection) correctly. Collects and labels specimens properly and sends them to appropriate designated lab.

Assist in scanning documents, answering phones, scheduling appointments, talking messages, calling prescriptions or any other duties that will help with efficiency of the office.

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting the patients’ rights.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

What we are looking for

Required License

  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current LPN licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current LPN licensure with a multistate compact status

Certifications

• Current American Heart Association, BLS certificate or obtain within 90 days after hire date

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kentucky or a multistate compact status. Additionally, a current American Heart Association BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
