~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Northampton Community College’s Department of Athletics has an immediate opening for a Head Coach of their Men's and Women's Wrestling programs. This is a part-time position with no benefits. Northampton seeks a dynamic, high-achieving, individual to help coordinate all aspects of its NJCAA Division III men's and women's wrestling programs. Duties to include management of all aspects of both programs, including recruitment and retention of team members, game and practice planning and support with facility preparation. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to academic success and NJCAA compliance along with a strong ability to relate to student-athletes. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the college and community. The ability to work respectfully and effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff as well as communicating effectively to employees/staff and community organizations.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited College or University preferred, collegiate coaching experience and a demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes and develop successful programs. Candidate must have a schedule that allows flexibility for travel to away games throughout the season.
