About the role

The teacher will plan and deliver effective math interventions for students with IEPs both within and outside the general education classroom. They will collaborate with the academic support team to design instruction and build strong relationships with families.

Part-Time Math Specialist Role As a Specialist you will plan and teach highly effective interventions both within and outside the general education classroom.

You will serve students with IEPs requiring math support.

You will work closely with other teachers in your curriculum area and the academic support team to design instruction that furthers every scholar’s learning.

You will develop high leverage relationships with Alma families.

You’ll receive the support you need in all aspects of your work, while retaining the autonomy to do what’s right for the scholars with whom you work closely every day.

The schedule for this position is somewhat flexible within our school schedule.

We would work with a successful candidate to set a consistent schedule anywhere from 24 hours per week (0.6) up to full time.

Who We’re Looking For We seek outstanding teachers with the following qualifications: A bachelor's degree or higher At least one year of full time teaching experience is required Proven effectiveness leading students to significant academic gains (please include specific data related to your student's academic gains in your resume) Massachusetts DESE Licensure in moderate disabilities or as a math specialist is required.

  • Compensation: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and schedule. Bilingual candidates are compensated higher. Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or higher and possess Massachusetts DESE licensure in moderate disabilities or as a math specialist. At least one year of full-time teaching experience and a proven track record of academic student gains are required.
