Bishop Watterson High School Long-Term Substitute School Counselor Catholic Preferred but Not Required Bishop Watterson High School is seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute School Counselor to serve students in grades 10–12 during Quarters 2 and 3 of the 2026 - 2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive school counseling services that support students' social / emotional, academic, college, and career development. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administrators in a faith-centered learning environment. Responsibilities include:
Provide individual counseling and support for students experiencing social and emotional concerns.
Assist students with academic planning, course selection, graduation readiness, and monitoring academic progress.
Guide students through college and career exploration, post-secondary planning, and the college application process.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside professionals to support student success.
Maintain accurate student records and documentation in accordance with school policies and professional standards.
Participate in counseling department initiatives and school activities as needed.
