Support classroom instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher and school administration. Provide individual and small-group academic support to students. Assist with implementing lesson plans and instructional activities. Reinforce learning concepts and interventions as directed by the classroom teacher. Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the classroom teacher. Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment. Support student behavior management using established school procedures and positive behavioral interventions. Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and instructional materials. Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities as assigned. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and administrators to support student success. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required. Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required; New York State teaching certification preferred (or as required by the district). Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families. Ability to adapt to changing classroom and student needs.
