About the role

The School Counselor provides daily group counseling to students to enhance emotional health and skill development. They also write monthly reports and assist teachers in understanding emotional issues that impact classroom performance.

Responsibilities

  • The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is hiring an energetic, collaborative, and experienced School Counselor for our school in Media, PA for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in School or Professional Counseling with certification required.
  • Master’s Degree in Professional and School Counseling from accredited college or university preferred.
  • Clinically supervised education/training in individual, group and family therapy with LPC credential preferred.
  • Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
  • Two years experience in a special education school or a school working with adolescents exhibiting emotional and behavioral issues is preferred.
