About the role

The therapist will provide individual and family counseling, comprehensive clinical assessments, and case management services to school-aged children. Services are delivered in-person at designated school locations within Mecklenburg County.

Family First Community Services, LLC is seeking to hire Outpatient Therapists for the 2026- 2027 school year for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) in-person. *This position is a CONTRACTUAL (1099) position.

School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) Therapists will provide individual counseling, family counseling, comprehensive clinical assessment, and case management services to school-aged children/adolescents.

This position will provide services in designated schools in Mecklenburg County.

Occasionally, services may be provided in the community.

This position requires clinical licensure such as LCSW, LCMHC, LP, LMFT, or associate licensure of these.

Each clinician must be credentialed with NC Medicaid and other insurance companies (We will assist with the credentialing process).

Contract Renewal: Likely (if policies and procedures are being adhered to) Full-Time Opportunity: Full Caseload - 30 cases Job Type: Contract (1099- Independent Contractor) Benefit: Clinical Supervision (LCMHCA/LCSWA with full caseload) Medical Benefits: None available (1099 contract) Schedule: Monday to Friday, Hours - the working hours of the assigned school License/Certification: LCSW, LCMHC, LP, LMFT, or associate licensure of these.

Work Location: One or two locations School- In person High School, Middle School, and/or Elementary School Still Available This job is ideal for someone who is: Dependable - always on time and onsite, ready to render services People-oriented - enjoys interacting with children/adolescents, their families, school personnel, co-workers, and supervisors alike.

Adaptable/flexible -- understanding/adapting to the fast pace of the school environment.

Detail-oriented - ensuring that clients have been served, documentation is completed in a timely manner, emails and phone calls are returned within 24 hours.

Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges Autonomous/Independent -- able to work well with little direction High-stress tolerance -- thrives in a high-pressure environment We are a small private practice looking for someone who is looking to build on their career with us.

Our office hours are from 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday.

If you have experience in school counseling, school counseling assistant, school psychology, or an outpatient clinic, we look forward to meeting you.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $60.00 per 90837 session Medical specialties: Psychiatry Ability to commute/relocate: Charlotte, NC Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Master's (Required) Experience: Mental health Counseling: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: LCSW, LCMHC, LP, LMFT, or associate license in NC (Required) Work Location: In person Must be able to pass a 7 year-background check.

We also conduct pre-employment drug screening.

Any job offers will be based on the results of background and drug screening.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree and possess a valid clinical license such as LCSW, LCMHC, LP, or LMFT in North Carolina. At least one year of experience in mental health counseling and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening are required.
