The Assistant Director provides comprehensive support to international students, including immigration advising, SEVIS compliance, and cultural adjustment assistance. They also coordinate student engagement programs, maintain accurate records, and participate in campus-wide emergency duty rotations.
The Assistant Director of International Student Services will support international students’ successful transition to Knox College and the United States by providing comprehensive support services, including immigration advising, cultural adjustment assistance, and programming.
Provide comprehensive support for international students by serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) and ensuring compliance with F-1 immigration regulations and SEVIS requirements. Advise students on immigration, academic, financial, personal, and cultural matters while coordinating orientations, workshops, and engagement programs that promote student success. Maintain accurate student records and data integrity, process immigration documentation, and collaborate with campus partners to deliver effective support services. Contribute to office operations through program development, administrative support, emergency response, student leadership instruction, and participation in campus committees and special projects.
