About the role

This position provides clerical and technical support to the Imaging Science Department, including project coordination, office administration, and student/faculty assistance. The role also involves assisting with accreditation documentation, maintaining electronic files, and managing departmental communications.

Position Description The position reports to the Program Director of the Imaging Science Department and is located on the Mequon, Wisconsin campus.

This position provides clerical and technical support to the Imaging Science Department and its faculty.

Work requires detailed knowledge of word processing software, and databases.

Job

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinates projects, attends meetings, takes minutes, and prepares reports for the department Performs general office responsibilities including telephone, email, correspondence, filing, mail processing, and room reservations, ordering supplies requested Directs students and faculty to appropriate resources/departments Assists faculty and students with daily workflows, resources, and questions Assists with new hires for full and adjunct faculty including paperwork and orientation to office related tasks Assists in planning and coordinating events, including visit days, workshops, seminars, graduation events, and others as necessary for the department Maintains electronic files for students, faculty, and alumni, as well as databases for guest lecturers, lab assistants, and adjunct instructors Assists department program director and faculty in completion of accreditation and technical documents Develops, edits, and sends communications, mass mailing, web postings, etc. Assist with review of student applications and records, and preparation distribution of acceptance letters Develops, edits, and sends communications, mass mailing, and web postings Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to operate office technology Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, E-Mail, database, and Blackboard functions Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the University Maintain a positive, can-do, service-oriented attitude with Department Chair, faculty, and students Excellent communication skills written and oral Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and organize work in a busy office setting Ability to demonstrate creativity and prompt action in resolving problems Ability to be well organized, detail oriented, accurate, and able to prioritize work Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions Knowledge of office processes Ability to maintain strict confidentially Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Education & Experience A high school diploma or GED required A Bachelor's degree is preferred Three to five years of general office experience including an advanced level use of Microsoft Office especially Excel, Access, Word and Outlook Previous experience working in an academic setting is preferred Physical Demands/Equipment (Click to View) Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Requirements

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates must have three to five years of general office experience and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
