The Graduate Assistant will support the Head Coach in all facets of the softball program, including recruitment, practice planning, and game preparation. They are also responsible for monitoring student-athlete academic progress and maintaining team equipment.

The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for providing leadership support to the Head Coach and assist the head coach in all facets of the program, including the recruitment of quality student-athletes, organization and planning of practices, game preparation, administrative duties, scouting, field maintenance, and monitoring of student-athlete academic progress.
Recruit, retain, and graduate successful student athletes for the University of Saint Mary and the athletic program.
Ensure strong skill development for each individual student-athlete and their own personal progress, including one-on-one hitting and fielding sessions.
Assist with practice planning and in-practice execution.
Assist with daily field work and preparation for practice.
Monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes by academic checks and study hall.
Direct individual player performance evaluation process.
Organize fundraising and community service events to support our mission at the University of Saint Mary.
Promote our university and softball program through the use of social media, etc.
Assist with Alumni support and organizing.
Supervise student-athletes during all organized team activities, travel, and games.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and uniforms in good working condition.
Develop and maintain a commitment to follow NAIA and regional conference rules and regulations.
Maintain a positive working relationship and attitude with faculty, staff, and students.
Active participation in the Champions of Character and implementing the values in the softball program.
