As a team member of the Office of Student Success, the Advisor engages undergraduate students in promoting all dimensions of student success. In addition to general advising duties, the Advisor also assists with various aspects of the including but not limited to specific duties related to transition, retention, progression, and post-commencement planning.
Direct Report to: Senior Academic Advisor
Indirect Report to: Director, Student Success

The Advisor will be responsible for general advising duties as well as other duties required to meet the needs of all undergraduate students at the University.

6. Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, or other related field is required.
A Master's Degree in Educational Administration, academic/career counseling, educational leadership, education, or another related field
7. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels of the university.
Experience in teaching, counseling, or administration in higher education.
Experience working with Pacific Islander, Asian American, and local Hawaii students highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
8. Physical Requirements
involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
