About the Role

Provide speech and language therapy services to middle school students in a school-based setting. You'll conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver direct therapy services, and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve meaningful communication and academic success. This is a full-time, temporary assignment (40 hours/week) supporting students in grades 5–8 from August 10 through October 30. Why Join Us: CEU/license reimbursement and tuition assistance Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Paid sick time Spread Pay options available What You'll Do: Conduct speech and language evaluations to determine student needs and eligibility Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students Complete and maintain compliant IEP documentation using PowerSchool Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and multidisciplinary team collaboration Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress across educational settings Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, and required documentation Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as applicable What We're Looking For: Must Have: Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Current Pennsylvania Department of Education Educational Specialist certification (or eligibility to obtain, if required) Ability to complete all required criminal background clearances Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Experience working with school-aged students Preferred: One or more years of school-based Speech-Language Pathology experience Experience managing school-based caseloads and IEP compliance Familiarity with PowerSchool or similar student information/IEP systems Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams Assignment Details: Location: Philadelphia, PA Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Assignment Dates: August 10 – October 30 Grade Levels: 5th–8th Grade Caseload: Approximately 60 students IEP Platform: PowerSchool School Interview Required: Yes Existing School Partnership: Nyman currently supports the school with OT and Paraprofessional services.
