Chibi Chan Preschool and Chibi Chan Too, children' s programs of the Japanese Community Youth Council, serves children 2 to 5 years old.
We believe in the developmental stages and introduce new concepts according to each child’s ability and age.
The curriculum is Project Approach, which is an in-depth investigation on a topic that is both concrete and close to children’s personal experiences, so that it is rich in possibilities for varied learning activities and for sustaining long-term interest in children.
The staff strives to foster independence by giving children opportunities to make decisions on their own, as well as exposing them to a diverse array of experiences to establish the foundation for future learning.

The Teacher reports directly to the Preschool Director and/or Associate Director and will be responsible for the nurturing care and supervision of children ages 2 – 5 years old. Major responsibilities include: 1) planning and executing the educational program in accordance with the purpose and goals of Chibi Chan Preschool 2) general overall supervision and classroom management in the classroom and 3) the overall supervision of classroom staff.
