About the role

The YES Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that foster academic and personal growth in a community-based setting. They must also collaborate with staff and parents while maintaining accurate records and a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or equivalent credential recognized in the United States.
  • Experience working with youth in educational or community service settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a safe learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with after-school or youth empowerment programs.
  • Training in culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning frameworks.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse populations.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
