This position is available for the fall portion of the 2026–2027 school year (September through December 2026) and supports a K–2 cross-categorical classroom serving students with a variety of learning needs.

Responsibilities include: Designing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Serving as case manager for assigned students Conducting educational assessments and participating in evaluation activities Providing individualized, small-group, and classroom-based instruction Supporting academic achievement and executive functioning development Collaborating with general education teachers to facilitate successful inclusion opportunities Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies based on data and individual needs Maintaining accurate records, progress reports, and required special education documentation Partnering with families, therapists, administrators, and school staff to create coordinated student support plans Creating a structured, positive classroom environment that encourages learning, confidence, and independence Providing guidance and instructional support to paraprofessionals and classroom staff serving students with special needs Teaching Certification, Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education State License as as SPED teacher 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred Experience working with children Organizational and time management skills Proficient in use of technology Fingerprint background clearance Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
