Description Lead Teacher, Infant/Toddler Room

UCP is hiring for a reliable, responsible, attentive teacher to join our Infant/Toddler team!

Using a research-based curriculum, you’ll help children explore concepts like colors, shapes, and language while building confidence and friendships.

Requirements

Qualifications

REQUIRED · Minimum of 1-year experience with preschool age children or young children with special needs preferred. · Experience working with families and supervising staff required. · Must obtain agency provided CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire. · Must obtain agency provided Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire. · Must obtain agency provided BHP certification within 12 months of hire. · Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Must be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift at least 50 pounds or ¼ of own bodyweight, and push and pull against potential resistance. · Adequate vision, reading, writing and documentation skills, and hearing to perform the essential functions of the position. · Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over extended periods.
