The adjunct instructor is responsible for delivering the Healthcare Ethics course, including preparation, teaching, grading, and student mentoring. Responsibilities may also include advising, course development, and meeting departmental needs.
Healthcare Ethics fulfills Ethics and the Common Good in students' General Education requirements, and is a course where students will gain insight in holistically responding to ethical issues from clinical, administrative, and financial perspectives. Students will also develop an understanding of ethical theories rooted in philosophical and theological foundations.

Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivery of a course (e.g., mentoring/coaching, preparation, teaching, grading, office hours). The Office of General Education and Common Learning oversees the General Education curriculum which includes discipline-based and interdisciplinary courses. Interdisciplinary (ID) courses provide areas of integrated learning in which students wrestle with and address complex questions that face our society, and are woven throughout the curriculum. Students will be challenged to answer these questions by examining different perspectives, theories, and experiences to arrive a more discerning conclusion. Students cultivate adeptness in navigating complexity and thinking holistically about these issues in order to reflect upon their own beliefs, as well as bridge values and assumptions of diverse perspectives. In turn, students are empowered to respond to unexpected and ever-changing realities they will encounter in life, work, and society.
