About the role

The teacher will provide individualized academic instruction across core subjects while helping the student develop organizational skills and independence. They are responsible for implementing the family's curriculum, preparing engaging lessons, and monitoring the student's progress.

Seeking a patient, encouraging, and experienced educator to support a rising sixth-grade student with their homeschool curriculum. The ideal candidate will provide individualized academic instruction while helping the student stay organized, develop greater independence, and build confidence as a learner. Schedule and Location Monday through Wednesday 9:00–11:00 a.m. Six hours per week In person in South Franklin, Tennessee

Responsibilities

Provide individualized instruction across the student’s core homeschool subjects Implement and support the family’s selected curriculum Prepare engaging, age-appropriate lessons and learning activities Help the student stay organized and develop effective learning routines Build academic confidence and encourage greater independence Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on the student’s needs Maintain consistent communication with the family and Thrive team Bachelor’s degree required. 1+ year of classroom teaching, private teaching, or substantial tutoring experience. Experience supporting upper-elementary or middle-school students. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Dependable, professional, and committed to providing engaging individualized instruction. Eligible to work in the United States. Experience teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies is a plus.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and possess at least one year of teaching or tutoring experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work in person in South Franklin, Tennessee.
