Position Overview The Teacher Assistant provides instructional support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher.
In this role, you will help implement lesson plans, reinforce classroom instruction, and support students in reaching their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
You will work with students individually and in small groups while assisting with classroom management, monitoring student progress, and preparing instructional materials.

Key Responsibilities Provide instructional support under the supervision of a certified teacher.
Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce lessons and learning objectives.
Assist in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
Support classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and report observations to the teacher.
Assist students with assignments, classwork, and skill development.
Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources.
Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
High school diploma or GED required. Diplomas earned outside of the United States must be evaluated and determined to be equivalent to a U.S. diploma. Must pass the New York State Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS). Strong planning and organizational skills required. Knowledge of classroom management techniques required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Pay Range USD $18.00 - USD $22.50 /Hr.
