Practice for this role

About the role

You will co-teach a preschool classroom, fostering independence and social-emotional growth in children. You will also collaborate with a partner teacher and an education coach to maintain a high-quality, supportive learning environment.

Benefits

Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Company parties Competitive salary Dental insurance Free food & snacks Free uniforms Health insurance Your students are almost three, testing what they can do on their own, and figuring out what to do with big feelings. That's not a phase to manage; it's the whole point of the year. If you want to teach it well and you're tired of doing it without real support, keep reading.

At Primrose School of Burlington, we built the classroom this age deserves.

A room built for independence. Our preschool classrooms are large, bright, and fully stocked so children can reach, choose, and do things themselves — not wait for a teacher to hand it to them. Independence isn't a value we talk about; your room is designed around it.

A curriculum that takes emotional intelligence seriously. We don't treat social-emotional growth as something that happens between the "real" lessons. It's built into how the day runs, so your students leave this year able to think for themselves, name what they feel, and act on it — the foundation everything after preschool builds on.

You teach alongside an equal partner. Every classroom has two co-teachers. Not a lead and an assistant — two teachers with shared ownership and shared voice, making decisions together and supporting each other every day.

Your classroom always has the coverage it deserves. A dedicated support teacher knows your students, your routines, and your expectations. They cover your breaks, your planning time, and your days off — no rotating substitutes undoing the routines and expectations you've built.

You have an education coach in your corner every day. Every Primrose teacher is paired with a dedicated education coach — not just for formal observations, not just when something goes wrong. Every day. Your coach is a thought partner, a resource, and an advocate helping you become the teacher you're working toward being.

Your planning happens at work. Planning time is built into your paid schedule. We don't believe teachers should take work home — you leave clear-headed, and your evenings and weekends stay yours.

We provide everything your classroom needs. All materials, resources, and supplies are fully provided. You will never pay out of your own pocket for your classroom.
