The student worker will serve as a crossing guard at the Early Childhood Center to ensure the safety of families during arrival and dismissal times. Additionally, they will assist with small projects and maintain communication with center staff.
The Service Learning office and the Early Childhood Center (ECC) are partnering to make Park Ave safer for our preschool program! We are hiring students each semester to serve as Crossing Guards at the ECC Monday thru Friday during the Early Childhood Center's arrival and dismissal times. A portion of the shift will be outdoors, so appropriately dressing for the weather is a must!
The ECC Crossing Guard program provides a fulfilling experience for students interested in any field that requires interacting with the public by enhancing communication and interpersonal skills. This position will allow interactions with the ECC staff, enrolled students and their families.
Applicants must be able to commit to the full semester and attend every assigned shift. Excellent communication and time management skills are required, along with a passion for working with children.
