About the role

The teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing learning environment and implementing age-appropriate educational activities. They must also supervise children, maintain classroom cleanliness, and communicate effectively with families regarding child progress.

Northstar Preschools is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Daycare Teacher to join our team! Our teachers create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for early childhood education and enjoy making a positive impact on young children's lives every day.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, loving, and positive learning environment for all children. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on our curriculum. Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Maintain accurate attendance, daily reports, and classroom documentation. Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, and daily routines as needed. Keep classrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the day. Follow all licensing regulations and Northstar Preschool policies and procedures. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress. Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with young children is preferred but not required. 1CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass all required background checks. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, patient, positive, and dependable. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Requirements
