Provide a safe, loving, and positive learning environment for all children. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on our curriculum. Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Maintain accurate attendance, daily reports, and classroom documentation. Assist children with meals, diapering, potty training, and daily routines as needed. Keep classrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the day. Follow all licensing regulations and Northstar Preschool policies and procedures. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress. Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with young children is preferred but not required. 1CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass all required background checks. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, patient, positive, and dependable. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
