Assistant Teacher – Infant, Toddler & Preschool Classrooms
The Learning Experience – Manassas City is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. Working alongside Lead Teachers, you will help create a safe, positive environment where children learn through play, daily routines, and meaningful relationships.
This position is ideal for someone with childcare experience who enjoys being part of a collaborative teaching team.
What You'll Do: Assist Lead Teachers with classroom routines and learning activities
Support children during meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers
Encourage positive social interaction, communication, and independence
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
Follow Virginia childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications: Previous professional childcare experience required
High School Diploma or GED required
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
