Lead Infant Teacher – Create a Strong Foundation for Lifelong Learning
The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to lead our Infant classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting children's earliest developmental milestones while creating a warm, responsive, and engaging learning environment.
As the Lead Infant Teacher, you'll oversee the daily operation of the classroom, mentor Assistant Teachers, and partner with families to ensure every child receives exceptional care during this important stage of development.
What You'll Do: Lead the daily routines and educational experiences within the Infant classroom
Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through sensory exploration and developmentally appropriate activities
Support infants' cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional growth through responsive caregiving
Supervise and coach Assistant Teachers to maintain a consistent, high-quality classroom experience
Maintain individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates
Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health, safety, and licensing requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or CDA required
Previous experience leading an infant classroom preferred
Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements
