Music Teacher – Bring Learning to Life Through Music
The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an energetic and creative Music Teacher to bring music, movement, rhythm, and joyful learning experiences into our early childhood classrooms.
This role is ideal for someone who loves music and enjoys working with young children. You'll introduce infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to musical concepts through songs, instruments, movement, rhythm activities, and interactive experiences designed specifically for early learners.
What You'll Do: Plan and lead engaging music experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
Introduce children to rhythm, melody, movement, and age-appropriate musical concepts
Incorporate singing, dancing, instruments, and creative movement into lessons
Adapt activities for different ages and developmental stages
Create a fun, energetic environment that encourages participation and self-expression
Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate music into children's learning experiences
Help prepare children for school celebrations, performances, and special events as needed
Maintain instruments and music materials in a clean and organized learning environment
Follow all applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required
Musical background and ability to confidently lead songs and music activities required
Previous experience teaching music or working with young children preferred
Preschool, childcare, enrichment program, camp, or children's music experience is a plus
Energetic, creative, dependable, and comfortable engaging groups of young children
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Must meet applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
