About the role

The instructor provides integrated ELA and STEM lessons to K-6 students through whole-class and small-group interventions. They are also responsible for tracking academic data and communicating progress to families and the teaching team.

Position Summary

The ELA/STEM Instructor is responsible for providing integrated English Language Arts (ELA) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) instruction to a diverse group of scholars in grades K-6. This role involves a combination of whole-class teaching, small group interventions, and individual intervention and instruction aimed at enhancing scholars' academic performance and addressing specific educational needs. Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Omega CDC Scholars of H.O.P.E. ELA/STEM Contracted Instructor Is responsible for the following: Providing English Language Arts and STEM instruction to a class of scholars in grades K-6 Keeping track and compiling data of results for funding purposes Meeting regularly with team of certified teachers Ensuring that one-on-one and small group language arts instruction and interventions are available daily to scholars Identifying individual scholar academic needs and skill deficits Reporting academic progress and data to families and full time team Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Current Certified K-12 Educator Preferred 2 or more years of teaching experience in a school setting Ability to pass a BCI/FBI Background Check Bachelor's Degree or higher COMPENSATION: Up to $35/hr Contracted Position (Rate of pay dependent on experience and qualifications.) DAYS AND HOURS NEEDED: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 PM - 4:15 PM

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and are preferred to be certified K-12 educators. At least two years of teaching experience in a school setting and the ability to pass a background check are required.
