The lead instructor is responsible for teaching pharmacy technician students and recording their academic progress throughout the program. They also provide mentorship and prepare students for their required externships in retail or hospital pharmacy settings.
Instructing students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Field. Reporting and recording student performance and progress. Preparing students in 182 hours of class time, to go on to a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital Pharmacy. Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideas appropriate to the health care profession. Providing a professional role model for students.
Licensed Pharmacy Technician. 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy field. Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable. Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately. Efficient with computers and technology. Organized and detail-oriented. Candidates must be licensed pharmacy technicians with at least three years of experience in the field. Strong organizational skills, proficiency with technology, and the ability to teach medical math concepts are required.
