The Instructional Assistant supports daily field trip programs by preparing materials, assisting students and volunteers, and maintaining an organized learning environment. They also collect program data and ensure all safety procedures are followed to facilitate smooth program operations.
Train in and become proficient in all three programmatic roles. Prepare student materials for each day's field trip experience. Organize, maintain, and store instructional materials and supplies. Support students and volunteers throughout daily programming. Assist with collecting and recording program data. Understand and implement all safety procedures and protocols. Collaborate with School of Economics staff to ensure each program day runs smoothly. Assist with additional duties as assigned to support the success of the team.
Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. Positive, collaborative attitude when working with both children and adults. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow established procedures and directions. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Dependable, adaptable, and willing to take initiative.
