Start Corporation's Start with HEART program is looking for a compassionate, patient Childcare Associate to provide supervision, activities and fun to youth during weekly Start with HEART groups in the Covington, Mandeville and New Orleans locations.
Minimum Requirements High School Diploma 2 years experience in early childhood or school-aged care

Job Duties / Skills Required Complete mandatory training series for Start with HEART program.
Participate in weekly supervision and check-ins with Start with HEART Program Supervisor.
Schedule and maintain a flexible workweek to meet the childcare needs of Start with HEART families attending groups, planning child activities, scheduled program meetings and documentation responsibilities.
Provide consistent, quality services childcare to families’ children while they are participating in services.
Maintain contact with parents to provide updates of child/children’s time in childcare.
Promote the agency/program within the community.
Meet guidelines for submission of childcare documentation to parents and into Awards.
Commitment to the Start with HEART program.
Ability to work with diverse individuals/couples/populations.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client and employee confidentiality.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Requires working nontraditional, flexible hours, including evenings.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Requires travel to multiple Start Corporation offices.
Data entry into Awards.
