Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Women’s Bowling Coach is responsible for the overall development, recruitment, training and competitive success of the University Women’s Bowling program.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with daily practices to prepare the team for tournament and post-season competitions

Assists in recruiting talented student-athletes for the Women’s bowling program

Promote academic success, character development, and positive team culture

Attend any mandatory coaches/staff meetings

Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach in conjunction with the Women’s bowling program

Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Strong knowledge of bowling techniques, lane play, and competitive strategy with the ability to recruit and develop student-athletes

Knowledge of and the ability to ensure compliance with NCAA, USBC and NEC conference rules and regulations and to operate within these guidelines

Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills

Previous collegiate bowling experience or high-level competitive bowling experience preferred.

Alternatively, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community.
