About the Role
- Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Affective Needs Special Education Teacher to support students near Carbondale, CO for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you’ll provide individualized instruction and meaningful behavioral and social-emotional support while helping students build the skills they need to succeed both academically and personally. This is a great opportunity for a Special Education Teacher who enjoys supporting students with affective, behavioral, and emotional needs and is passionate about creating a positive, structured environment where students can thrive. You’ll work closely with school staff and a collaborative, therapist-run team dedicated to individualized student support and your professional success. - + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure and professional development + referral bonuses What You’ll Do Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning What We’re Looking For Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement Fingerprinting through OSPI Strong classroom management and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
