The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job Summary Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School is seeking a faith-filled, knowledgeable, and student-centered Part-Time Theology Teacher to provide instruction in Catholic theology and religious studies.

The Theology Teacher is responsible for promoting the mission of Catholic education by fostering students' spiritual, academic, and moral development through engaging instruction rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The ideal candidate will inspire students to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ while developing an understanding of Scripture, Catholic doctrine, Church history, prayer, and Christian discipleship.

Job Description

The Part-Time Theology Teacher serves as a member of the instructional faculty at Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School and is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating theology instruction for assigned courses. The teacher creates a positive learning environment that supports academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character formation consistent with the mission and values of Catholic education. This position works collaboratively with school administration, faculty, students, and families to support the overall educational and faith formation goals of the school. Job Responsibilities

Teach theology courses in accordance with the curriculum requirements of Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School and the Archdiocese.

Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and understanding of Catholic teachings.

Integrate Scripture, Catholic doctrine, Church tradition, prayer, and moral decision-making into classroom instruction.

Foster a faith-filled classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth, respect, and discipleship.

Assess student learning through assignments, projects, examinations, presentations, and other evaluation methods.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding academic performance and classroom expectations.

Support the mission of Catholic education through personal witness, professional conduct, and participation in school faith activities.

Encourage student participation in liturgical celebrations, prayer experiences, retreats, service opportunities, and other faith formation programs.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and student success.

Maintain classroom discipline and establish a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and required school events as assigned.

Comply with all Archdiocesan, school, and Safe Environment policies and procedures.

Support the Catholic identity and mission of Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School in all professional responsibilities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designated administrator.
