Assistant for Intro to Sociology 111: CRN 32431 & 33000 Job Summary: Faculty Assistants (FA) provide in class and out of class support to faculty who are teaching classes with over 60 students enrolled. The FA attends all classes for which they are providing support and work with professors who outline position responsibilities, which may include: verifying class rosters, taking attendance, arranging for technology services, and assisting with maintaining and uploading course materials and information onto D2L. The FA may also assist with scanning, copying, collating, distributing course materials, and updating bulletin boards. The FA may not perform any functions as the instructor of record or as a teaching assistant, e.g., the LCAs is not to lecture or to grade any course assignments. An LCA is hired by the professor for the course. Pay rate: $9.00 per hour. FA responsibilities include: Attends all classes for which they are providing support.
